THE NANTUCKET TURK'S HEAD ROPE BRACELET
Everyone knows what these are. Depending on where you live, these are known as sailor's bracelets (because they used to wipe their brows with them while swabbing decks), friendship bracelets (because sailors would bring them back to their sweethearts), and surfer's bracelets (for reasons unknown to me).
Mine are 100% cotton and guaranteed to shrink to wrist size, as intended. They come in four sizes sure to fit 95% of the human race. Small fits most children ages 5 yrs. and younger. Medium fits children and women with smaller hands and wrists. Large fits older teenage boys, average size men and larger women. Extra Large fits men with large hands and wrists. If you are unsure what size to buy, please call or e-mail me. Shipped by either First Class mail or Priority depending upon the number ordered.

Rope Bracelet Knot Tying Kit
© 2005 Charity I. Benz
Although many customers have asked for this, I had resisted putting together a rope bracelet kit in the past because most of those I have seen greatly over-simplify what most people find out is a project considerably more complicated than it looks. When the digital camera arrived, however, I decided I could use photographs to illustrate each step of the process and accompany them with an explanation of how the knot is tied. I put in two pieces of line, one cotton and one a bright color, so that there will be twice the fun. This little kit is a good thing for parents to have on hand for rainy or foggy days. Take if from me!

SUNGLASS HOLDERS © 1995-2005 Charity I. Benz
My sunglass holders are 26" long and come in two different styles (round and flat) and three different materials (cotton, nylon, or leather). They are unique and distinctive, and are among my most popular items. Nylon sunglass holders come in either solid colors or any two color combination of the following colors: White, black, navy, marine blue, gold, red, rose, green, tan, pale pink, and yellow.

If you must wear one at work, this credential lanyard will remind you of your weekends spent sailing, strolling the beach, or visiting nautical sites. The fancy knots included in the lanyard include Matthew Walker, Solomon's Bar, double diamond and flat sennit. Twine used is fine nylon.

These lanyards have been inspired by a number of sailors and have spawned several applications which would have been unfathomable to early mariners.
My round sennit rigging knife lanyard (top lanyard) is 26" long for working aloft. It's long enough to work at arm's length, but not so long that it will hit the deck if dropped. This lanyard is tied in nylon.
The Nantucket lanyard (bottom lanyard) can be used in various ways. It is 17" long and designed to prevent expensive knives, keys, or other gadgets from being lost overboard and is available in white cotton and has a brass swivel snap.
Both Knife Laynards are available in Nylon in these colors: Red, navy, black, marine blue, white, gold.

MONKEY FIST KEY RINGS
In much larger form, monkey fists are tied around a weighty object on the end of a heaving line to help dock a vessel. They still use one on the ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket and the Coast Guard decorates its Christmas tree on Nantucket's Main Street with them.
Cotton Key Rings:
My monkey fists are tightly tied from cotton twine with authentic tarred marlin whipping and stainless steel thimble.

Nylon Key Rings
The nylon key ring comes in solid color with contrasting color whippings. Available colors: Red, Yellow, Green, Navy, Marine Blue, Black, White, Orange, Kelly, and Lavender.
MONKEY FIST KEY RING KIT

With the success of the rope bracelet kit and at the suggestion of customers, I am introducing a similar kit to make two monkey fist key rings. This kit includes step-by-step instructions with numerous photographs, two pieces of braided nylon line, wooden balls, and split key rings.

TURK'S HEAD KEY RING
The turk's head is a fancy knot with a wide variety of applications. It is noted as far back as 1808, making it one of the oldest recorded marlinespike knots. This key ring is made from tightly twisted dacron and has a small brass swivel snap to clip it to a belt loop or bag, or something that won't go overboard or otherwise get lost which, as we all know, is the life's goal of all keys.

STAR KNOT KEY RING
Star knots are possibly the most interesting and difficult knots to make, but they are arguably the most beautiful of them all. According to Ashley, it was first noted in 1888, although some references suggest it's been around for more than 150 years. This key ring is made from braided nylon with a six-strand Matthew Walker knot and alternating crown sennit. A brass swivel snap is included.
RUNNING TURK'S HEAD KEY RING
This fancy but tough key ring has a Matthew Walker knot, crown sennit and a doubled running turk's head as the knob knot. It also has a brass o-ring and swivel snap.
